Figuring out what's truly important to me, and intentionally working towards making that my reality.
Living a slow and purposeful life using feel-good systems and routines
Building routines that work for me and my life, not the other way around
Working toward letting go off perfectionism and embracing the messy process of growth and small, messy steps.
Celebrating the small wins
Simplifying my life so that I can focus on what really matters
Why I do What I do
I am a lawyer-turned-writer-turned-entreprenuer
After nearly a decade of working as a writer, I left my corporate job for my dream of starting my business.
I was tired of trading time for money, travelling long hours (something that’s inevitable when you live in a big city in India), and constantly feeling like I never had enough time for things that really mattered.
Over the last 2 years, I have worked on slowing down the pace of my life to make more time and space for things that are important to me and bring me joy.
Instead focusing on being productive and eventually burning myself out, I have created self-care forward routines
When I first started looking for slow living resources + tips and tricks online, the only thing that came up was life in a homestead or a small town. Which gave me the impression that living a slow and intentional life in a big city was probably impossible. But that’s definitely not the case. And I am here to show you how
I believe that Slow living is simply choosing to slow down enough to appreciate what’s in front of you as opposed to constantly worrying about the future
Growing up, I was never sure about what I wanted to be. But I knew I wanted a life where I had time for the small, mundane things of life like reading, cooking a meal, gardening, going for long walks, etc. I was never really drawn to the big things like luxury cars, a high paying job, or a big car. I wanted a simple life that was felt nice and wholesome.
A Little Bit More about me
I am an introvert (INFJ), a total homebody, and am obsessed with cosy hobbies
My partner, my dog Abby, and my books are probably my favourite things in this world
I always have a book in my bag. There’s no way I am stepping out of the house without a book.
I truly believe that everyone needs at least one or two hobbies (Netflix & chill, and scrolling on your phone aren’t hobbies) to make their life more fulfilling. For me that’s reading and painting. But if I had a penny for every abandoned hobby, I would be one rich lady.
If I had all the money in the world, I would probably spend it on books, art supplies, and stationary. Or I would book myself a vacation on Mars and never return.
